About
Blaise Schwartz was born in Gien in 1992 and works between France and China. He graduated with honours from the School of Fine Arts of Paris in June 2016.

In his drawings and paintings, Blaise Schwartz creates spaces where the deep time of living evolution intersects with the acceleration specific to the Anthropocene.
He conceives painting as visual thought and an oneiric medium: at once matter, surface, and image, it opens up new forms of attention toward a world from which we have progressively become detached — that of the elements, animals, and living beings.

Blaise Schwartz est né à Gien en 1992 et travaille entre la France et la Chine. Il est diplômé avec les félicitations du jury des Beaux-Arts de Paris en juin 2016.

Dans ses dessins et ses peintures, Blaise Schwartz crée des espaces où le temps profond de l’évolution du vivant rencontre l’accélération propre à l’Anthropocène. Il conçoit la peinture comme une pensée visuelle et un médium onirique : à la fois matière, surface et image, elle ouvre de nouvelles formes d’attention à un monde dont nous nous sommes progressivement détachés — celui des éléments, des animaux et des êtres vivants.
